For those of you out there who are "up on" the world of local hip-hop in the Maritimes, there is a rather dope figure from the Halifax scene who goes by the interesting name of Ghettosocks. He has released two solo albums thus far; "Get Some Friends" a few years back, with such hits on it such as "Read-A-Book", "Naturally Nice" & "Lapping The Sun". Gsocks' eccentric, 80's pop culture-based euphanysms and punch lines.
Ghettosocks also released a mixtape titled "I Can Make Your Dog Famous" featuring DJ Jorun Bombay co-hosting the joint.
His latest release, a very very nice solo LP called "Treat Of The Day", features some hot guest appearances to go with the rest of the overall greatness of the album - El Da Sensai, PH (formerly known as Pumpkinhead of Red Army.
Anyways, my Treat of the Day is a BLUEBERRY BAGEL, TOASTED, WITH STRAWBERRY CREAM CHEESE!!! AND A COLD GLASS OF MILK! OOH LA LA, LE LAIT!
